Jawaher Al-Masha'abe

Miss Jawaher is one of our super teachers that helped a lot ...and never said no for sharing school
and when I finally get to visit her ...she inspired me and helped me to add a lot of helpful stuff and amazing ideas to the intermediate teachers section

so ..I attended a class for the 4rth grad 
she  started by asking the ss to show their encouragement papers and who ever answers on the revision get a point
she also used pictures to revise the previous lesson



 
it was placed on their English profiles
then she discussed the ss in the title of the lesson (animals) which made them excited to the lesson
Jawaher used English all the class time 
she kept moving and circulating the class room as a bee in her self 
whenever a student couldnt read she stranded besides her and give her one on one help 
also she was carful on training them on the right way to write ...and the ss were able to tell the kind of the letter if it is "tall. Small or tail"
her ss were able to give examples on the letters they hear

no matter what  I said its nothing like attending a class with miss Jawaher
powerfull points
every ss had a profile contains :
  • student's info

  • encourgment paper

  • skills table for the parents
  • table for the things that ss shoudn't do
  • tests

((all these things well be added here in the 4rth grade section for every one benifit))

Hello ..again with another special teacher ..
what I notice about this one ..is how excited was the lesson ...how active she was as long as the lesson goes ..she gave a life to the class and change the meaning of the word English class to her students
 ...
Miss.Masha'el started the lesson with revising several chants with her Ss ,who were more than happy to do it ,

then revised the unit by asking about unit names "oh ,,yes Ss named the units "and asked about the content of each one  as general 
ten went through the content of the last lesson as specific 

her Ss were able to tell the date
  
she used an interesting teaching aid  which was a colored cards glued into sticks
 
and placed on a big chart with the picture of strawberry short cake on it
the cards were all on their back 
She started by asking about the colors of strawberry short cake colors 
then made ss come to the board tell the color of one card 
flip it and tell the word .."some Ss were actually able to read" !!,she colored the first letter in deferent color to help them figure the name 
she didn't leave the odd letters like (th,,sh...) go without asking the ss and explaining it for them again

powerful points in the lesson

  • encouraged the shy weak ss by clapping ..and bringing them in front of their friends in nice way to answer
  • she was fun in her way with the ss ..as if she is one of them
  • mad mistake in the chant in purpose   to make sure that the ss are following up 
  • used the clapping way to help ss to keep the chants rhythm

teacher started the lesson by introducing the new words using pics ,ss repeat choraolly and indevidually ((she made every specific one repeat ) then made them spill it idevidually
then moved to the book and read the words with the ss 
she kept revising the words using the pictuers 

as an application to the sounds the animals ,she gave the ss card sticks withe names and sounds .ss were really intrested they started reading it even before T asks 

T asked about the animal the student with the sound answers and vise versa 
by the end she show them a song about animals sounds and it includes even more sounds than the ones in the lesson

as an application she mad ss match names of animals with sounds 
then at the end of the lesson she made ss sing the "old mc donald song"with the diffrent sounds of animals ,each s sing with a sound 

what was remarcable the groups names and diffenctions
and every s was waring a crown

 The teacher started the lesson with the chants and revised many chants with the students
then introduced the lesson through the sounds of some animals 
some students brought real animals with them 
  and animal toys  ,which were helpful in revising the previous lesson and refresh the students for the new lesson
T. introduced the new words using pictures ,Saied its names and mad ss repeat and spill chorally 
every three words she uses a different way 
first: repeating chorally
second: hiding the card and the student guess which card had disappeared 
third: rearranging the pics and ss guess the names
and by the end of the lesson T chanted with the ss using a poster and a puppet 
the teacher took parts that contained the animals pictures out and when the song was about one of them she attach the picture to the poster
it was really nice
